Many of our members have informal contact with peers they’ve met in our online meetings. To extend this opportunity, we offer a roster of community members who are willing to talk or correspond with others on a one-to-one basis. Our peer supporters offer encouragement and share lessons learned about trauma, coping and growth. If you are willing to serve as a peer supporter, or if you would like to find a peer to talk with, contact us.
Peer support relationships are not supervised or overseen by The Hyacinth Fellowship. It is the responsibility of both peers, together, to forge a relationship that is helpful, balanced, and supportive.
As always, please keep in mind that peer support is not a substitute or replacement for psychotherapy or other forms of professional help.
